Drapolene Cream
Drapolene Cream is a pink, non-greasy emollient cream containing two active ingredients, benzalkonium chloride and cetrimide. Both of these have antiseptic and disinfectant actions. It contains mixture of white soft paraffin, wool fat and cetyl alchol that produces a greasy moisturizer. It works by providing a layer of oil on the surface of the skin to prevent water evaporating from the skin surface.
This combination of ingredients results in a protective cream which cools and soothes any soreness and prevents infection. It is suitable for the treatment of urinary rash, nappy rash in children and for treating minor wounds.
Indications:
For the relief of diaper rash and for use as an adjunct to baby care hygiene for the prevention of diaper rash. For the relief of urinary dermatitis in adults, as an adjunct to patient care hygiene for the prevention of urinary dermatitis.

Direction for Use:
The affected area should be washed and dried thoroughly. For optimum effect, the area of application should be free from soap residue. Adults (incuding the elderly): A thin layer of cream should be applied evenly across the affected area several times, as necessary. Neonates, Infants and children: A thin layer of cream should be applied evenly across the affected area after every diaper change, paying particular attention to folds in the skin.
Formulation:
Each grams contains 200mcg Benzalkonium Chloride Solution (equivalent to 100mcg Benzalkonium CI) and 2mg Cetrimide in a water miscrible base.
